Alison Doody
Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Her debut film part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) and then went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Photographer approached Doody Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to a career in commercial modelling. Doody tried to stay clear of glamorous and sexy roles, which was a principle she incorporated into her acting. After being spotted by of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one the twelve most promising young actors in the year 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old when she took on the character of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody played a non-speaking part in the 1987 TV adaptation of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She worked with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a forensic archaeologist in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Then she moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After a long absence from screen Doody was back in the acting world with a small role in 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. She starred along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. In 2010 Doody was a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria film award on the 21st of November, 2018.
